The Art of Making Mojos - Book

I'm new to Hoodoo and Mojo bags, but a veteran of some 27 years regarding the occult and strangely enough, when I first got in to the occult, Catherine Yronwode was one of the first names I remember reading about. This is the first book by her that I've bought and it's informative and well written in an informal, friendly style that is both pleasant and easy to read.
The book details the history of Mojo bags, Blues lyrics pertaining to Mojo bags, which is very culturally interesting and how best to create Mojo bags/hands for everything from Abundance to Power, Protection and Love. I bought this book for the information on the latter and it gives excellent detail, as can be expected from a seasoned and knowledgeable practitioner like Ms Yronwode. The sections about feeding the various Mojo bags is very informative, though I do admit to feeling uncomfortable at the thought of using bits of animals. Plus the idea of using things from myself (sweat, saliva, blood and other unmentionable things), is a tad off-putting for me, they are an alternative, if you are so inclined, but aren't essential. Otherwise it's all good about things like roots, crystals, herbs, resins, etc., that you can use.
Highly informative and definitely recommended. Plus most of the items for making them can be found on Parlour of Wonders! It was also much cheaper buying the book from here than it would have been to buy it from one of the worlds largest book websites - and I'd much rather give my custom to an independent business than an international conglomerate.

Great book to learn how to craft your own mojo bags. It's a nice book to have on hand as a reference to create the mojo bag for your intent use.
