Baba Yaga's Book of Witchcraft is an exciting book of ancient Slavic magical practices. In this book, you'll sit at Baba Yaga's side and listen to her stories about the birth of the sun, the land of the blessed ones, and the spirits that live right beside us. More importantly, you'll learn the secrets of her magic―crafts, talismans, inscriptions, incantations, and rituals that will allow you to discover your own Baba Yaga within.
Each chapter develops the fairytale of Vasylyna―the girl who is sent to the frightful witch―and Baba Yaga herself narrates explanations of folk lore represented in the tale. Author Madame Pamita completes each chapter by sharing how to put the elder-witch's wisdom into practice, with instructions for Ukrainian folk embroidery, weaving wreaths from herbs, using magical poppets, and working with the spirits of the forest, the hearth, and the sauna. With more than fifty illustrations and a bounty of tips and information, this book teaches you to embrace the beauty and power of these traditional practices as you learn to reclaim your personal magic.

Madame Pamita has put together an excellent resource for anyone seeking knowledge of Slavic/Ukrainian magic. She has put traditional Ukranian names for the Earth Spirits, gods and goddesses. Baba Yagas Book of Witchcraft' is an excellent addition to my library. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting a good point of entry into Slavic/Ukrainian paganism.
This is a great book that uses a Slavic folktale to illustrate section about stages and aspects of life. Not only is it full of folk wisdom, and full of spells, but it's also full of crafts! You can learn Slavic embroidery, egg decorating, and doll-making right from this book. It's full of useful knowledge!
This book is lovely. I’m so glad I purchased it! Thank you!
I know the Baba Yaga stories from my childhood, but I never felt drawn to her until recently. This book is amazing! I found myself tearing up at the embroidery chapter at the beginning. It’s a real gift, and I’d recommend this to anybody.
I had never heard of Baba Yaga before Madame Pamita, and I will never forget either one of these lovelies. This book is beautifully written and full of information. It pointed out to me what I had no idea was waiting for me. Thank you.
