Carrying the Magic Forward at Parlour of Wonders

Welcome to the Parlour Workbench
A Note from James Divine
If you’re thinking, Wait—who is this guy? Fair question.
I’m James Divine, and I’m honored to be carrying forward the manufacturing side of Parlour of Wonders as Madame Pamita’s work as a teacher, author, and magical guide continues to grow.
Parlour of Wonders was founded by Madame Pamita, and her vision is still deeply woven into everything we do. Her books, workshops, teachings, and magical formulas continue to shape the spirit of this business. My role is to help carry that work forward at the workbench — making sure the candles, oils, powders, bath crystals, spell kits, and magical tools you know and love continue to be created with care, intention, and purpose.
And if you haven’t yet explored Madame Pamita’s wider magical world, you absolutely should. Between her books, workshops, and spiritual offerings, she’s built something truly extraordinary.
What I’ve Learned So Far
One thing I’ve learned very quickly: beeswax is hot.
Also, warehouse decisions that sound brilliant in theory don’t always turn out that way in practice.
But truly, one of the most rewarding parts of stepping into this role has been building a space where magical tools are made with love — and where people enjoy the work of making them.
That matters to me.
So does carrying forward what Madame Pamita built with the same care and integrity that made Parlour of Wonders meaningful in the first place.
From Los Angeles to Tucson
The move from Los Angeles to Tucson was a big one. A lot of boxes. A lot of wax. A lot of figuring things out as we went.
But through all of it, one thing became incredibly clear: the best part of this work is you.
The messages, the encouragement, the kindness, and the support during this transition have meant more than I can say. Thank you for being here. Thank you for caring about this little magical corner of the world. Thank you for helping make this next chapter possible.
The Best Part of the Work
There’s something deeply satisfying about making tools with intention.
But seeing how people actually use them in their lives? That’s the part that feels like magic.
It’s one thing to pour a candle, blend an oil, or pack a spell kit.
It’s another thing entirely to know that someone is using that candle in a prayer for protection. Or dressing that oil with intention before an important conversation. Or turning to a spell kit in a moment when they need clarity, courage, healing, or hope.
That’s when these things stop being products and become part of practice.
And that, to me, is what Parlour of Wonders is really about.
Tools for Real Practice
One of the things I care about most is staying grounded in the truth of magical work:
You do not need fancy tools to make real magic.
A tea light, a bit of intention, and something from your spice rack can absolutely be enough.
Magic does not begin with buying something. It begins with attention. With intention. With practice.
What we offer at Parlour of Wonders is not a shortcut around that. Our candles, oils, powders, baths, and spell kits don’t do the work for you.
They support the work.
They help you focus.
They help you stay with the intention long enough for it to take hold.
And if you’d like something that’s already been thoughtfully made, lovingly prepared, and ready to work with — that’s what we’re here for.
Looking Ahead
This next chapter of Parlour of Wonders is about continuity, care, and growth.
It’s about honoring what Madame Pamita created while continuing to make and share magical tools that help people take real ritual action in their lives.
It’s about the workbench, the candles, the formulas, the team, and the people who bring these tools into their homes and practices.
Most of all, it’s about keeping the wonder alive.
I’m so glad you’re here.
More soon from the workbench,
James Divine
